Sedation Dentistry

Sedation dentistry is a great option for those that have struggles with going to the dentist. Patients who have gag reflex issues, high anxiety towards dentists, highly sensitive teeth and complex dental problems should consider sedation dentistry. When under sedation the patient will not be unconscious and will be able to breathe without assistance. Patients can still communicate throughout the procedure. During the procedure our Twin Falls staff closely monitors the patient’s vitals at all times. The sedation lasts for about 2-6 hours depending on the patient and how long the procedure is. Sedation dentistry is covered by many insurance plans. If you feel like you need sedation and your insurance does not cover it, we may be able to help you with a financing plan so you can get the anxiety and pain free dental care you need!

A crown is needed when a tooth cracks or fractures, decays or is weakened by a root canal. A crown is a cap shaped to your tooth that is then cemented over your real tooth to help preserve and protect from any further damage. Crowns can be made out of a few different materials such as porcelain, porcelain covered metal or gold. It depends on your personal preference and budget which material is used. The entire procedure takes two visits. You can expect to be given an anesthetic to help reduce discomfort during the procedure. During your first visit the dentist will file and reshape your tooth so the crown will fit securely. Next, your dentist will take a mold of your mouth to be sent to a local lab for them to create the crown specialized just for you. Your dentist will place a temporary crown, usually made of plastic, until your next visit. At your next visit, the crown will be fitted and cemented in. Each crown should last at least 10-15 years. With the help of our Twin Falls dentist staff and your new crown you will be able to smile confidently again.

Getting a root canal is across the board a dreaded procedure. A root canal is needed when the roots of a tooth become so infected they need to be removed. If not removed it can develop a painful abscess. The dentist will use an anesthetic to numb the tooth and removed the infected tissue by drilling into the tooth’s root. Once the infected tooth is removed, the tooth is then filled with sealant and capped off with a crown. It may sound like an intimidating process but our Twin Falls dental staff cares about you and your comfort. With further developed and practiced procedures Comfort Care has found ways to help manage the stress and anxiety that comes along with many dental procedures, including root canals.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Your smile is the major focal point of your face. A beautiful straight and white smile helps you be more confident. You’ll find yourself full-faced grinning more and more! With the help of your Twin Falls dentist at Comfort Care you can get your teeth where you want them to be. Along with our general services we offer two specialized treatments for the cosmetic side of your oral care; Invisalign braces and the Zoom! Whitening system!

  • Invisalign braces are painless and so easy! Just like metal braces they are used to align your teeth. However, unlike metal braces you can remove the Invisalign braces whenever you eat and drink or brush your teeth. The braces are made from a clear plastic so you can hardly even notice them on. Through a series of custom-made trays worn for two weeks at a time, your teeth will gently move into a nice straight smile.
  • Zoom! Whitening system is also a painless procedure. Through many different ways our teeth are dulled. Whether you use tobacco products, drink coffee or just simply age your teeth can become stained. Within just one visit your teeth can appear at least 5 shades lighter. This system is a dramatic and quick way to bring a shine into your smile. With proper care it can last for years!
  • If either of these sound like something you would like to experience call into our Twin Falls Comfort Care Dental to setup a consult.
