Here at Comfort Care Dental, we understand that not everybody can afford to pay for the beautiful smile they’ve always wanted up front. We also understand that even routine care can be too expensive for some of our patients. It’s an unfortunate truth that the cost of dental care can add up quickly regardless of which family dental clinic in Idaho Falls you choose.
That’s why we offer you a wide range of financial options to help you pay for the care that you need. We accept several different dental insurance plans and help those without insurance to set up custom payment plans. There are, however, a few additional financial options available to you when you choose the best family dental clinic in Idaho Falls. Those additional options include a family dental plan and CareCredit. Today, we wanted to help you understand these two options better.
Many families either don’t have access to dental insurance or opt not to carry it if they do. If that sounds like you and your family, a family dental plan may be the right fit. Family dental plans are essentially an alternative to dental insurance that can help families save money on their dental care. These plans are designed specifically to make routine dental care and necessary dental treatments more accessible and affordable to those without dental insurance.
For example, Comfort Care Dental — your family dental clinic in Idaho Falls — offers in-office savings plans that include dental exams and x-rays as part of your membership. We offer these in-office savings plans for both individuals or families, and your VIP membership offers you a variety of benefits. Each membership is good for one year from the original date of service and provides you with great benefits including:
*Please note that the In-Office Savings Plan offered by Comfort Care Dental cannot be used in conjunction with dental insurance and is not an insurance policy.
CareCredit is a specialized credit card designed specifically for covering the costs associated with your health and wellness needs including health, dental, and wellness expenses. Unlike traditional credit cards, it can not be used for general purchases, only health care expenses. Here at Comfort Care Dental, we have chosen to accept CareCredit because we believe in making dental care as accessible as possible to our patients. As soon as you receive approval for a CareCredit credit card, you can begin charging expenses to your account.
Like traditional credit cards, CareCredit has a specific APR set forth in their terms. Unlike traditional credit cards, however, many patients can qualify for a “no interest if paid in full” plan (sometimes referred to as a deferred interest plan) that allows you to pay for your health care expenses over a set amount of time — typically 6, 12, 18, or 24 months.
If the balance is paid in full within the specified time period, no interest is charged on to you for that purchase. It’s important to note that interest does accrue for the entire promotional period, but is not charged to the patient if the balance is paid in full.
Some of the preventative and restorative dental procedures that can be paid for using CareCredit include:
One minor drawback for some CareCredit users is that it is not as widely accepted as other traditional credit cards. But if you’re looking for a family dental clinic in Idaho Falls that accepts CareCredit, Comfort Care Dental is perfect for you. According to their FAQ site, CareCredit “…can be used at over 200,000 locations nationwide for a variety of healthcare services including LASIK, veterinary, dentistry, cosmetic surgery, hearing care and more.”
Our team is happy to help answer any questions you have about how CareCredit works. If you’re ready to apply for CareCredit, click here.
As with any credit card, your ability to qualify for CareCredit is dependent on meeting a variety of eligibility requirements. These requirements typically include your credit history and current credit score. Of course, if your credit score is too low for you to qualify on your own, you may be able to qualify by applying with a co-applicant. If you are approved with a co-applicant, they will receive their own CareCredit credit card and be equally responsible for the account, including all charges made by an authorized user on the account.
Here at Comfort Care Dental, we want to make sure that all of our patients are able to get the dental care they need in Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and Rexburg. To that end, we have made it as easy as we can for each of our patients to pay for our services. We are in network for most major insurance companies including Aetna, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Delta Dental, Humana, Metlife, United Concordia, and more. Of course, we also know that many of our patients don’t have dental insurance, which is why we offer additional financial options like those discussed above.
If you have questions about your ability to pay for dental services, don’t wait. Let our team of qualified professionals help you make the financial choice that is right for you and your family.
